About the Workplace
Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diaconia and is Sweden's largest faith-based hospital with a clear value base – seeing the whole person. With roots dating back to 1851, we have provided healthcare on Södermalm in Stockholm, but we receive patients from all over the country. Here, we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and top-tier expertise. We are a university healthcare unit and conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet. Since 2023, the hospital has grown significantly with new operations and increased capacity, while simultaneously preserving what has made Ersta Hospital appreciated for generations: high medical quality, short decision-making paths, and personal treatment.
The Heart Clinic is a modern and well-equipped clinic with well-functioning patient flows. Here, we work together to provide every patient with secure, evidence-based, and person-centered care. This spring, we also opened a clinic for clinical physiology adjacent to the heart clinic, creating good conditions for close collaboration between diagnostics and clinical practice.
As an employee with us, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will give you the conditions to thrive in your job and have a rewarding leisure time.
About the Role
As a specialist physician with us, you will meet patients in need of cardiology specialist competence during both new and follow-up visits. You will work with a broad spectrum of general cardiology conditions, where the most common diagnoses are arrhythmias, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, valve disease, and hypertension.
The role also includes preoperative assessments, electrical cardioversions, and echocardiography. You will collaborate closely with the hospital's other clinics, including the intensive care unit, as well as with primary care.
With us, you have the opportunity to combine clinical work with development, quality work, and research if you wish. Decision-making paths are short, and you have great opportunities to influence the development of the operations. Here, we utilize each other's competence and believe in professional responsibility, knowledge sharing, and a work climate where we develop together.
Who are you?
You appreciate clinic work where medical quality is combined with good patient treatment. You work independently but also thrive in close collaboration with others and are happy to contribute your knowledge to the team. You appreciate a workplace where care for both patients and colleagues is a natural part of everyday life.
You share Ersta's value base and our keywords: professionalism, trust, and hope.
Your Experience
We are looking for you who:
- is a licensed physician with specialist competence in cardiology
- has broad general cardiology experience
- can independently perform and interpret echocardiographic examinations.
It is meritorious if you have experience with pacemaker and ICD controls, research, or specialist competence also within internal medicine.
